Snapplot is generally run from the snap manager program. However it can also be run directly from a DOS prompt. The command syntax to start the program is:
snapplot [options] command_file [config_file_name]
to use a snap command file to identify the stations and observations to display, or
snapplot [options] -f coord_file [data_file ...]
to specify a coordinate file and optionally data files to plot.
If snapplot is started using a command file it will also look for a corresponding binary file, generated by snap from which to obtain adjustment statistical information.
Snapplot can take the following options
|
-c config_file |
specifies a snapplot configuration file from which to read configuration information. |
|
-b background_file |
specifies a background file of features such as coastlines, roads, etc, to include on the plot. |
|
-p projection_code |
defines the projection used to for the map of stations and observations. This is one of the snap coordinate systems. |
|
-i |
instructs snapplot to ignore the snap binary file and just plot stations and observations without statistical information. |
